Returns & Refunds Policy

At Jaded Unicorn, we take pride in creating quality handmade equestrian accessories. Please read our returns and refunds policy before purchasing.

Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if an item is faulty, not as described, unsafe, or does not meet consumer guarantees. Store policies cannot remove these rights. (ACCC)

Change of Mind Returns

We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

However, we may offer an exchange or store credit at our discretion if:

  • You contact us within 7 days of receiving your order

  • The item is unused, unwashed, and in original condition

  • The item is returned with any original packaging

  • The item is not a custom, pre-order or made-to-order item

Return postage for change of mind exchanges is the customer’s responsibility.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within a reasonable time.

Please include:

  • Your name
  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item
  • A brief description of the issue

Depending on the issue, we may offer a repair, replacement, or refund in line with Australian Consumer Law. (ACCC)

Handmade Items

As many of our products are handmade, slight variations in size, colour, fabric placement, stitching, or finish may occur. These variations are not considered faults unless the item is significantly different from the product description or images.

Custom, pre-order or Made-to-Order Items

Custom, pre-order, and made-to-order items cannot be returned, exchanged, cancelled, or refunded for change of mind once payment has been received and production has commenced, as these items are made specifically to your requirements.

This policy does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or is not as described, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work with you to resolve the issue.

Sale Items

Sale items cannot be returned for change of mind.

If a sale item is faulty or does not meet consumer guarantees, you are still entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law. The ACCC warns businesses not to imply that sale or specialised items are excluded from consumer guarantees. (ACCC)

Return Postage

For change of mind returns or exchanges, customers are responsible for return postage costs.

If your item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will work with you to resolve the issue in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. Please allow processing time depending on your payment provider.

Shipping costs may not be refundable for change of mind returns. Where required by Australian Consumer Law, appropriate remedies will be provided.
